AM550 DLMS/COSEM readout API
Built a Flask API for reading a couple of thousand Iskra AM550 meters through DLMS/COSEM and publishing the readings into an ingestion queue.
The problem
ONE Nordic needed an API-based way to read values from a fleet of Iskra AM550 electricity meters without exposing DLMS/COSEM protocol handling to each consumer.

Henrik designed and implemented the Flask API, queue delegation and DLMS/COSEM readout flow.
Work delivered
- Built a simple Flask API that accepts all data needed for a meter readout
- Delegated readout jobs to a RabbitMQ work queue
- Read Iskra AM550 meters using DLMS/COSEM
- Published meter readings back to a RabbitMQ ingestion message queue
